Community pharmacies

Help students observe safely.

OPAA students may complete a short independent educational observation from areas open to the public. It is not practical training, a practicum, placement, employment or supervised pharmacy work.

1. Simple introductionStudents are instructed to identify themselves as OPAA students completing an observation assignment.
2. No staff burdenStudents do not request supervision, access behind the counter or patient information.
3. Public areas onlyStudents observe customer-facing layout, OTC sections and service information only.
4. Respectful exitIf staff ask a student not to continue, the student must politely leave and choose another pharmacy.
